Fringe Toronto Updates

TRANSCRIPT:

Want to showcase your work at The Toronto Fringe Festival next summer?

The Toronto Fringe is Ontario’s largest theatre festival, showcasing over 150 shows each July in over 30 venues in the downtown core. It’s for anyone and everyone.

Festival participants are selected by lottery at our Lottery Party in the late fall. Lottery applications open mid-October. There is a small application fee as well as a participation fee if selected. Fees are posted on our website.

We also have an Accessible Lottery, for artists who have a disability, and the CDAP Lottery, for artists who identify as culturally diverse. Neither of these lotteries require an application or participation fee. Artists selected from these lotteries receive a bursary towards their Fringe production. The Accessible and CDAP lotteries are open only to those who have not produced a show at the Toronto Fringe before.

You can apply to all three lotteries online.

TRANSCRIPT: Artist Opportunities at the Toronto Fringe Festival The Toronto Fringe is now accepting site-specific performance applications for our annual theatre festival taking place in July. The Fringe’s site-specific performances take place in non-traditional venues across the City of Toronto. This platform is for artists intending to create a show outside of a typical black box theatre. Artists interested in bringing the Toronto Fringe to their community. Artists able to arrange their own venue and ensure accessibility for patrons with mobility needs. Site-specific shows are accepted on a first come first served basis beginning in October until all slots are filled.  Once your application is submitted, we review it. If approved, you must secure your venue and pay a participation fee. Only then will your event be considered part of the festival. Participation fees are based on the total number of seats available across your entire run. For more information or to apply, please go to https://fringetoronto.com/get-involved/artists/fringe
