TRANSCRIPT: Welcome to Deaf Learn Now, an online literacy program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing adults. The courses are tuition-free because the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities (MTCU), has provided funding to George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario.
Our team has been busy developing courses based on what you have told us you need. Based on that feedback, we developed courses that can help you achieve your goals. For example, if you want to go to College or University, we have courses for that. For example, if you are looking for employment or need some type of certification, we have courses for that. Perhaps you simply want to increase your knowledge and independence, there are courses for that too.
Our team has worked hard to provide you support on your journey of learning. Once you register on DLN, you will have access to courses and you can pick and choose which ones you want to take that match your ambition. If you happen to have difficulty or struggle with a question, there are teachers available to help you work through that, allowing you to feel more confident as you move forward.
