RARE Theatre Company in partnership with Soulpepper Theatre is thrilled to announce the World Premiere of After the Blackout, written and directed by Two-time Governor General’s Award-winner Judith Thompson.
After the Blackout is new play performed and informed by a cast of differently-abled artists who are deaf, blind, living with brain injury, or living with lost limbs. A rich, emotional story with an edge of magic realism, After the Blackout is a hard-hitting original story through which Thompson has threaded extraordinary true stories bravely shared in the play’s development.
After the Blackout runs from May 8 to 26, opening on May 11. Live American Sign Language interpreted performances will be on May 18, 19, 23 and 25, 2018.
