At the end of this event you will be able to:
Identify and understand issues of diversity, inclusion and equity in health care professions, specifically systemic issues regarding health equity and inclusive medicine for all.
Recognize and comprehend issues of diversity, inclusion and equity as applicable to learners and health care professionals who represent diverse communities.
Reflect on their own personal interests, commitments and responsibilities toward the promotion of diversity and inclusiveness and to advocate for same.
Create and apply approaches to advance diversity, inclusion and equity issues at the University of Toronto in the Faculty of Medicine and at their respective health care institutions.
Apply skills and strategies to practice allyship with marginalized communities to help promote inclusion and equity in health care.
An application has been submitted for this event to be an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, approved by Continuing Professional Development, Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.
